Get a smooth process in order to reach your desired site, by importing demo data. This will automatically create the posts, projects, pages and albums that you need to get a better idea how a populated website looks like.
When you first install Ombra, it will look differently from what you have seen in the live demos. In order to make it the same as in the demos, you need to fill it up with demo content, that we provide to you with theme package, via demo files.
You can import the demo files by using the free WordPress Plugin, called WordPress Importer and activate it.
Keep in mind You may have to repeat the Import step until you see “All Done” to obtain the full list of Posts and Media.
Before importing the demo, you need to know that WordPress creates a sample page and a sample post after installation. You can delete them.
Then, go to Tools → Import, click WordPress. Check the Choose File button, pick up the demo file that you need (for example, ombra-main-demo.xml) and click Upload file and import. Under Import Attachments, check the Download and import file attachments box and click submit.
